As expected, Google announced the successor of Nexus 6 in the form of Google Nexus 6P, but this time the manufacturer is Huawei instead of LG. LG is still in the Nexus series, but it has made a mid-range smartphone, the Google Nexus 5X, which is the successor of LG Nexus 5.

The Google Nexus 6P made by Huawei is not only an improvement in hardware section, but also in its design. The Huawei Nexus 6P looks beautiful in its metal unibody design along  with the rear camera lens adding an elegant look to the smartphone. Now coming back to the topic, what exactly has changed in Nexus 6P compared to the Google Nexus 6 launched last year? Google Nexus 6P vs Google Nexus 6 : Brief Comparison

In terms of design, both the smartphones look different as they are made by two different manufacturers.  The Google Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4, whereas the Google Nexus 6 features a 5.96-inch Quad HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Under the hood, the Google Nexus 6 has been packed with a 2.7GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, whereas the Nexus 6P has been powered by a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor with Adreno 430.

Both the smartphones come with 3GB of RAM, but with Nexus 6P you can get 32GB / 64GB or 128GB storage option which was limited to 32GB / 64GB in Nexus 6. The Google Nexus 6 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, but the Google Nexus 6P will be running Android Marshmallow 6.0.

At the camera front, you can find a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front facing  camera in Google Nexus 6. But, the Google Nexus 6P features a 12.3-megapixel rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

Connectivity on both of the smartphones are identical including 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 ( Bluetooth 4.2 in Nexus 6P) and NFC.

An interesting feature in Google Nexus 6P is the fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone, which you cannot find in Google Nexus 6. The fingerprint can be used to unlock the device or make payment authentication.

The Google Nexus 6P also comes with new USB Type-C port, whereas the Google Nexus 6 has standard micro USB port.

Now coming to price of these devices, the Google Nexus 6P in India would cost 39,999 for the 32GB version, whereas the Google Nexus 6 now costs about 33,800 (official price, third party sites are selling it for 29000 now).
