Xolo has recently announced the launch of their new android octa core smartphone XOLO 8X-1000 yesterday at an event in New Delhi, India which comes with pre-loaded brand new HIVE UI based on Android Kitkat 4.4 OS with major visual tweaks. The company has introduced new HIVE UI by touting new Hive UI as “Made in India, Made for India” platform that has been designed at the company’s software design center at Bangalore. XOLO 8X-1000 is going to be the first smartphone to get HIVE UI featuring a 5 inches Display Screen boasting a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels offering a pixel density of 294ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Brand New HIVE UI features all new launcher with support for various themes, downloadable via ‘Edge’ a special store that consists of latest themes, ringtones and wallpapers created by community and Indian artists. With HIVE UI you get a new Connect feature that allows you to stay in touch with the development team and at the same time allowing the company to get bug reports from users in real time. Apart from these basic features HIVE UI includes new contacts app that comes with Facebook integration, overhauled gallery app and chameleon widget for notifications.
XOLO 8X-1000 is an octa core processor based smartphone that is powered by Mediatek MT6529M processor clocked at 1.4Ghz frequency running alongside with Mali 450-MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM. About the Storage XOLO 8X-1000 comes with a 16GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable upto 32GB via SD Memory card. It sports 8MP Primary rear camera with LED flash and Exmor R Sensor and a 2MP front facing camera on board.Talking about the connectivity options XOLO 8X-1000 comes with regular connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, A-GPS, GPRS/EDGE, and Bluetooth. XOLO 8X-1000 packs a 1920mAh battery, which according to the company delivers up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 352 hours of standby time on 2G networks.
