Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced by Rockstar last year, the newest addition to the Red Dead Series. Some teases happened and then the publisher finally, actually confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is real and it will be releasing in the future on Sony PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There were also strong rumors of a Red Dead Online game happening, just like Grand Theft Auto Online.

Release Date

Rockstar Games just confirmed today that Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide on October 26th, 2018. Rockstar originally announced a Spring 2018 Release, but in the recent article they posted on their newswire says that they ‘require extra time for polish’.

Here’s what they said –

Dear All,

We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.

With thanks,

Rockstar Games

More about Red Dead Redemption 2, and are we getting a PC Release?

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a Western-Themed video game to be a ‘console exclusive’. It’s category is action-adventure and the game is developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. The original Red Dead Redemption game was released on Sony PlayStation 3 & Microsoft Xbox 360 consoles in May 2010, more than seven years ago.

There were some rumors of a PC Version getting released, but Rockstar has not confirmed anything, so there’s no luck of playing the game on PC. BUT, if the game does get released on PlayStation Now, a streaming service for PC Players to play PlayStation games, we could play the game on PC as well.
