  • Open RUN Command box and type regedit as shown below.

  • Now In the Registry Editor Go to the following location

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Note – If the Explorer Key doesn’t exist then right click on Policies and click New -> Key and name it as “Explorer”.

  • Now In the right window pane right click and select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  • Name it as TaskbarNoThumbnail
  • Double click on TaskbarNoThumbnail to modify its data value as per your need.

1 – to disable taskbar preview.
0 – to enable taskbar preview.

  • Restart your computer and that’s it now you will no longer see Taskbar Thumbnail previews.
